Maro's Bistro is the culinary brainchild of a man who began his journey to establish this eponymous establishment by coming up through the ranks, with the grit and determination common to the immigrant story.
After having worked with Maro over the years on projects of varying scale, we came to truly understand his true essence—irreverent, raw, larger-than-life—attributes that set the boundaries of our brand exploration.

The key art that the visual language originated from, each element representing different aspects of Maro's Lebanese heritage.
Maro’s beverage of choice is a cold glass of authentic Arak, the smell of which would trigger a nostalgia for his grandfather who always smelled of it. To honour his memory, I thought it appropriate to use his photo o the front of the drink menu, paired with a hand-written writeup to reflect all of this on the back.
Maro is notorious for wearing many hats, figuratively and literally. These are just a handful of his many famous fedoras.
Many of those who frequent Maro's Bistro will have no doubt walked through or by a cloud of his smoke. We thought it appropriate to tie this into the image bank as we began to build up his personal brand.
